    Hi All,

Just wondering has anyone come across a small book on using SPSS for stats. I regularly do analyses in work, or start brainstorming about which analyses to use, and andy field's book isn't all that practical to be carrying about the place!

The type of book I would like would have a brief explanation of statistical methods & some guidance around how to do them in SPSS.

Some of the one's I have found on amazon seem to be far too basic (saving files, opening SPSS) for my needs.

    Thanks in advance!

As an alternative to a book, I have visited "SPSS Data Analysis Examples" featured by the Institute for Digital Research, UCLA, that very briefly notes various SPSS formulations; e.g., see Logit Regression example. Their SPSS examples are searchable.
