As the title says i am looking at A Tanaka TCG22EAD brush cutter for strimming and keeping hedges at bay with the use of the long reach hedge trimmer attachment. I have Laurel hedges and strimming on about 1/2 acre.

Has anyone any input on this model? From searching this forum Tanaka would appear to a fairly decent make with good build quality. I have priced a Stihl alternative but the price is crazy tbh.

Getting an all price of €558 for the model above and the Hedge trimmer attachment.

Any input on this setup would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Tanaka make great machines. However I would advise the TBC230SF if you are going for a split shaft machine. It has been on the market for years. The model quoted above is more like a Hitachi (they bought over Tanaka a few years back). You should only pay about 40 euro or so more than you have been quoted but you'll be getting a better machine imo.

Thanks celtic, in what way is the TBC230SF better? Just curious. I can certainly find out what price your man has on this model.

What about the TBC 240SFS? Getting an all-in deal on this one of €500 with the hedge trimmer up North.
