Hi I just heard the following off other people and unsure if its true or not . Could you pleased let me know.
You can get a cheaper quote by doing the 12EDT lessons. ( which are mandatory in getting the full license now)
You can get a cheaper quote by having a dash cam installed into your car.

Are any of these true? Thanks.

    Hi dylanH

Currently we do not offer any discounts for completing the 12EDT lessons or installing a dash cam.  However we run a scheme we’ve set up in conjunction with the Irish School of Motoring (ISM) to try to give learner drivers cheaper insurance as well as cheaper driving lessons.
Our customers can get a rebate of €250 once a learner permit holder (pupil) completes a package of 12 Lessons with the Irish School of Motoring, providing the pupil/policyholder lets us know they’ve booked the lessons within 90 days and sends us the ISM unique booking reference.
The €250 will be paid once the pupil has completed all 12 lessons within 180 days of the lesson package booking date and have been a named driver or policyholder for a minimum of 90 days (the 90 day period starts on the date which the pupil advises us of their ISM booking reference or the date they are added to the policy, whichever is later).
The pupil must be a named driver on their parent’s policy or have their own policy, with Liberty Insurance at the time the €250 rebate is payable.
This offer is only available through the Liberty Insurance Call Centre and applies to Liberty Insurance private motor insurance policies. Policies administered through a broker or any other intermediary are not eligible for the offer. Full terms and conditions are available on our website at http://www.libertyinsurance.ie/ism/

    Cathy
