Okay going to Ballinrobe for the first time. I don't have a clue about horseracing. Anyone give me a few tips, just at this for the craic.
    Thanks.

If you go to Ballinrobe and back the favs you will come back with no shoe laces.

However if you go to Ballinrobe and back the outsiders you will come back with no shoes.

Was at Ballinrobe for the first time last summer and really enjoyed it - great atmosphere, despite the appalling weather. Go to have a laugh, and don't focus too heavily on the betting. Depending on the weather, going, etc. it could well be a punter's graveyard. Take a look at the results on any of the websites from the last few meetings (irishracing.com is just one example) and see how many favourites came in, who (riders and trainers) tends to be on form there, etc. There are some course stats available out there, too, which will give you an idea of how many favourites win, who are the leading trainers and riders, etc.

Horrible incident there! Winner looked at fault caused two horses to come down.

Don't think there was much Chris Hayes could've done. Thankfully they're all safe and sound.

I only caught a replay on a stream! Looked horrible.

He seemed to just hang in right on top of Smullen. You could see Chris yank at the reigns to stop it a few strides before it happened. I don't think the result will be changed anyway

Gutted I missed the price but I think Dawerann is a steering job here to get Wango his first winner. Only bet of the day.

    Damn you Wango.

Keep a close eye on your shoe laces.
