I have scoured the net and cannot find the teetimes anywhere, all I can see is that gates open at 7.30am on the faq page of Irishopen.ie, can someone help me out, I am taking a few days off work and was planning to play a round in the morning then head over to Carton enjoy the golf and soak up the atmosphere with a few beers etc, can some of the experienced boardies advise on their itinary? obviously if there are 160 odd golfers it would be time enough to arrive around lunch time and still catch alot of the later groups.
    Thanks

I know sky's coverage starts at 10am, stops at 1 I think but starts again At 3pm so there must be a few late starters.

Tee times are usually posted on the European PGA website on Wednesdays.

I guess first tee time will be around 8am with the final groups finishing around 6pm

A bit strange that they have them teeing off on the 10th though...
Would have thought they would have put them out on the 1st.

All groups tee off either 10th/1st each day. Makes no difference really

I'm aware of the front/back nine starts on the opening 2 days.

What I find odd is that they have put a (possibly the) marquee group to start on the 10th.
I'd have expected them to start them off early, but start them off from the 1st.

So if McIlroy is starting early on Thursday does that mean he will be on later on Friday? Is it as simple as first to tee off on Thursday is last to tee off on Friday and so on?

Friday afternoon off the 1st is prime time, that is when they will expect the crowds and TV coverage

For fans there it makes no difference

Looking forward to a few good days golf, a decent field assembled and hopefully the weather will co-operate for once.

I'm going with a few each way shots for this week. Joost Luiten has been playing steady golf this season and is due a breakthrough. Paul Casey has been showing signs of a return to form and is a selection to get in the top 5.

A friend of mine is caddying for Alan Dunbar this week... something extra to look out for when I'm watching it on the box :)
