Any one know what the recommended service intervals is on a C4 with a 1.6 hdi engine?

The owners manual says 20,000km. The dealer we brought it to at 40,000km said the intervals should be 10,000km. Its at 55,000km now

Me personally I'd change the oil and filter at least every ten thousand

I'd service it 10-15k km 20k km is too long IMO.

I agree. These should be done every 15,000km max, sooner if possible. If you keep the oil changed regularly and use the correct spec oil then you will minimise the chances of having any turbo trouble with the engine.
