How long do you stay in same field calling?
And how often do you blow the call for and and stop and start again?

I normally call initially for about 3-4 mins, varying the direction and volume of call in order to mimic a rabbit caught in something which would obviously be moving around trying to escape...I would then wait a few minutes and call again for maybe 1-2 minutes once more varying pitch and direction...I would then give it a break for 5-10 minutes and see what's moving before repeating the process...a lot depend on whether they have come to a caller before and been shot at, I have seen foxes take off the minute I put the caller on...the only thing you can do wrong is to call to long and too loud...it's got to sound some way natural and a rabbit that's injured wont scream for too long as they know they would attract attention

Call for 1min30sec roughly then take break for 2 minutes then repeat. If you dont the fox will pin point you before you spot him. They tend to move in after you stop calling. I had them walking by me, often got spotted during calling and they be gone.
