need a second car. Ideally hatchback & must have 4 doors.
IM 6'3" & dont want to have more than €4k extracted from me, preferably less.
All I can think of are corollas and focus..(no offence, but not terribly exciting)
    Dont want yaris/colt type size.
minded towards 2002/2003 A3, any comments? (is there a specific model that has the 5 doors?)

    Cheers for any recommendations..

You could pick up a Honda accord diesel. 120k miles but they are decent machines.

Failing that what about a golf.

Give it 4-6 weeks and you can buy my dads 04 Honda Accord, 2ltr petrol, Executive, full spec, with about 50k miles on the clock for that money. Of course, that is if you can handle the tax... and all the people staring at your beautiful car. Tis a hell of a car for that money though.

    /shameless plug

If you're after a hatchback, Mazda 3 or Audi A3 are nice.

The Honda Accord is a very nice car and certainly stands out from the usual crowd. I guess worth having a look at least..:)
