Just looking at a few of these on carzone. Theres a 09 for just under 17,000 euro off a dealer. I currently have a 06 skoda octavia with 122000 km on the clock, timing belt just done, tax till october, nct till next may, and 4 new tyres on it. What would the lexus roughly cost if i traded my octavia against it?

Drive one first, second gear is non existent maybe it's improved up in the years, mpg is bad for a diesel. There any absolutely lovely car much more luxurious than the bmw or audi equivalents but that diesel engine is a let down.

I sold mine because of the mpg, I was lucky to get around 30/35, had it in lexus a few times, no faults with the car just the way it was. Would buy again if I knew the engine was better and the claimed 49/50mpg was achievable.

Im not doing huge km,s so mpg isnt my biggest worry. Ive never traded in a car before so im just wondering what should i expect to be paying for the 17,000 lexus against my own skoda?

€19,000 is to much for a 09, you could probably get one 5k cheaper or more, if mpg isn't an issue buy the petrol one.

    1.9 tdi.

That car is worth 5-6k euro all day long if you were to sell privately. A dealer should be keen to take that car. How much he gives you really depends on how much profit he has built into the price of the is220 your probably talking around 12k along with your own but that's a pure guess the price will vary from dealer to dealer and there is alot of variables.

Its 16,900 straight deal. What would i get i for with trading in my octavia?

Sell your own privately you should get 6k minimum, if you put 7/8 with the 6 you'll have a 09 is220d.
The car your looking at it sounds very expensive.

i think you should shop around a bit more. heres an exec model for 2k less. dont know anything about the dealer but they have been mentioned on boards before. not recommending this car just showing you there are cheaper than what you have quoted. there are cheaper 09s than this for sale aswell

Just wondering if you bought the Lexus in the end and how it was going for you if you did?
I bought a 2006 approved used is220d two months ago with 1 yr warranty, its back with the dealer getting the EGR valve replaced already, not at my expense thankfully. I really liked the car. Its one of the best looking saloons you can buy I think, second only to an alfa 159 maybe.. and love the gadgets and despite the gearing and mpg liked how it drives but have a terrible feeling it'll be expensive to maintain once the warranty and dealer goodwill runs out...
