i just bought a multi gym from argos as it works out cheaper then going to the gym, http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/3358766.htm . it has a 30 kg weight stack is this ok for a beginner ? can i add more on if needed ? how long will it take till i need to add on more weight then that ?

Its pretty light, you will burn through it quite fast. A bench would be better as you can buy more weight for your bar.

Have to agree with runawaybishop, 30k is nothing. Have you taken delivery of it yet ?

30 KG is very light and I doubt you can add additional weight to it, it'll be grand at the start but after a few months you'll be needing something heavier.

Honestly, I think those multi gyms are a waste of money.

As suggested, a bench with a proper set of weights and a good barbell would be far better for you.

Cancel it, it will be crap and you will be lifting heavier than 30kg after a week at the most.

You cannot add extra weight to this.

Dumbbells and bench are a much better option for weight training.
