An older relative got an android tablet recently. Wouldn't be the type of person who is going to download illegally and would probably like to watch films or documentaries on the tablet (offline).

Is this even possible? I can't find a source.

You need to transfer them from a PC in that case.

Best bet would be netflix sub if you can ensure they have WiFi access.
I know you said offline method but for simplicity and cost reasons the above is probably best option.

Isn't there an offering from Tesco, clubcardtv.com or something like that where you can watch movies free of charge, once you hold a valid Tesco Club Card?

I just registered. The selection is rubbish. (My internet access is via the UK, could have had something to do with it..)
