Punk drummer and guitarist wanted Dublin

    I'm a Dublin bass player, 28. I've been jamming with an indie band for about a year now. We're well settled and we even have a single out. The more I'm in this group, the more I realize what a waste of time it is. Especially since my main influence is punk. Male or Female required for...

    DRUMMER: I'm looking for a good punk drummer. Doesn't have to be the most spectacular in the world but the drums do play a highly important part in the structure of a good punk band.

    GUITARIST: Again, not looking for the most amazing in the world but power chords and barre chords are a MUST! The odd solo here and there would be deadly also. If you can sing and play, it's an obvious bonus.

    When I say punk, I mean PUNK not emo. If you're not quite sure what the difference between punk rock and heavy metal is, please don't bother. I know we could start a ten page debate here on what actually should or shouldn't be referred to as punk but when I say punk I mean PUNK.

    The best way to describe the kind of punk band I want to start is wacky but controlled, dirty but honest and humble but with enough BALLS to tell it like it is. But mostly fun and wacky. I have a lot of ideas and songs ready to go.

    Creative input is always well received by all band members in a group I'm a part of. I'm also hoping every member could contribute songs or at least song ideas.

    Influences include Stiff Little Fingers, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Ramones, 999, Razillos, and also later stuff like The Muffs, The Gits, The Vandals etc. Obviously, any other influences brought to the table will be welcome.
