    I'd say they could throw the discus pretty far to be honest. At least 42m

    Save the country? Good question. I suppose it comes down to how good a swimmer to you. If you look at this recent aerial photograph of Ireland:

    220px-Ireland_(MODIS).jpg

    You'll see that it's actually submerged in quite a bit of water, and could well be drowning. Now, it's a pretty big land mass, so you'd probably need a bit of help
