Saw mink at the back of nuigalway yesterday near the canal. Was surprised to see them in such a built up busy area.

I never knew mink were so smart .Last night I saw a mink run on the top of a closely clipped Leylandii hedge A blackbird had a nest in the middle of it. The mink goes down from the top because a dog was in the garden ,It got the blackbird and skipped back on top of the hedge the way it came into the garden I was very annoyed and felt helpless ,I kind of know how people who have hens feel.

This is a great time of the year to catch mink as they are continually on the move feeding etc. Youngsters will be out and about too.
