Is it on sycamore, Acer pseudoplatnus as sopposed to other Acer?
If on sycamore it is Rhytisma acerinum-not a problem, just not pretty. Reinfection starts again in early summer from fungal spores on the dead leaves on the ground. I noticed it starting on my sycamores about 10 days ago.
There is no cure apart from collecting the dead leaves in autumn and burning them- this way you will reduce the pool of potentially infective agent in the following year.
