Is voyeurism an offence here?

I've noticed reports of convictions for voyeurism in the UK and in the US.

Is there such an offence under Irish law?

There is no specific statutory offence for voyeurism in Irish law.

The offence of harassment, s.10 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997, has been used to prosecute these offences here before. Specifically the section on "acts would seriously interfere with the other's peace and privacy or cause alarm, distress or harm to the other".

    That's interesting.

Would the same section cover "stalking"? Or is that a specified offence in Irish law.
