I'm hoping to do this too. Assuming (and this is a big assumption) that the good weather continues, I'd like to go to the beach afterwards. Any recommendations for nearby beaches?

when you are going up those hills and feel that there is something wrong with your bike.....dont worry it will only be me getting a tow up by holding onto your saddle :pac:

Was up on the mountain today and it was stunning but so hot on the climbs. Don't be afraid to empty your bottles. There will be plenty of water on the summit, at Bunclody and on Slíabh Bhuí

    Sunscreen and water!

Excellent event today. Great goodie bag, great food stops, great marshalling and nice bbq. A lot of people put a lot of effort into today and it really showed.

Well done to all involved and thank you.

    yahoo I got a mention !!!

Unfortunate accident approaching Mt leinster, before the climbing started.. We noted a large black sheepdog in person garden, standing to attention as the groups passed by. Unfortunately the dog decided to join in, and ran straight out the gate and into the group, taking down one rider beside me. I think another just behind.

Hope the rider was ok afterwards.

    Unfortunate accident.

spectacular day , nice to have warm conditions for a change. The lead group cannot claim that juniors made the pace coming home, rather three U 16 lads paced the group home.

    Well done to organisers.

Great event really enjoyed it and for a great cause. Fantastic organisation for a small sportives would put some of the big ones to shame. Nice to meet dark glasses and captain havoc. Me and BCMF headed down from North County Dublin and it was worth the trip. Challenging route found mount Leinster ok but that hill at 95 ish k took the piss! Was a real sting in the tail at that stage and not suprised to see a few walking up. Lad afterward was telling us that everything used on the day was donated and 100% of the profits went to the charity. It's brilliant what a community can achieve when they work together. Well done again and thanks to all involved.

That climb at 90 odd km was really evil.

    I will be back.

Very wel organised and its great to pay an entry fee rather than scab for sponsorship.
Good to meet all you boardies, the gersey comes in handy darkglasses thanks for wearing it. We just did the 60 k , bigus has a bit more shrinking to do yet, but we were well in the early 60k finishers maybe in the early teens id say. Whos for the Wexford coastal tour !

Wouldn't say amazing but ok . The later ones are rubbish because I puntured coming out of bunclody and tried to catch up with the group again until tullow and burned the legs off myself .

I did the 60km spin and really enjoyed it. Very well organized and everyone was very friendly and supportive. Got very bad cramps on my upper legs going up Mount Leinster and had to walk the last bit. The ice packs from the ambulance crew at the food tent were a big help. I have it ticked in for next year and will being a few more with me.

Tonnes of new photos from the event have been added to St. Luke's facebook page, I see plenty of familiar faces!

There's also a picture of the guy who did it on the triple tandem with his two kids - awesome.
