Business/Accounting Teaching Jobs

I've tried the search function but can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Atm I'm in a full time accounting job but I really don't like it. I wanted to do teaching after college but didn't have enough points for the PDE. I'm considering leaving my job and applying for the PDE, I know have 50 points. The only thing worrying me is jobs. I know there is a lot of issues surrounding teaching jobs as a whole but I'm wondering more specifically for business and accounting. Are there any business teachers on here and if so how did you find getting a job?

Another point to bear in mind is that the PDE is now a 2-year course. This Sep will be the last 1-year cohort

Oh I didn't know that. That would actually make me more determined to leave now rather than see out my contract. It would mean it'd be 3 years before I'm looking for a job so who knows what it'll be like then. I did take a look online and there appears to be a few business posts but what I'm wondering is how many people are applying for them.

Also it would be too late to apply now for this September - most of the closing dates were around Christmas time. If you left now you would be going for September 2014 and the 2 year course.

Not a lot of good news in teaching at the moment Eabhabear, but best of luck with whatever you decide to do!
