We bought a horse last week and got the dentist out yesterday to do his teeth. He said he had a twisted tongue. I wasn't there so didn't have the chance to ask about it. Has anyone had this before? What did you do?

Ive heard of twisted tongue, but never experienced it. Did you not get the horse vetted when you bought it? (Thats not meant to sound like a criticism) I believe, but as I say, have not experience of it, that a horse with this condition needs special feeding, and will usually fail to gain condition/weight. Im not sure what the situation with a bit/riding would be, but you would be well advised to get an experts opinion.

Let us know how you do?

You can always use a hackamore when riding if the bit is uncomfortable for him/her.
