HKC Saab suddenly ringing real low

Basically as the title says...

SABB is ringing so low now that you can barely hear it outside nevermind inside.

The panel recently had an internal bell fuse blow which was a damaged cable and needed a new battery which was replaced.

Fixed everything and its still low.

Any ideas or is it time for a new SABB?

Take out the bell - in the panel & connect it to aux - .
If it still rings the same it may be the SABB itself.
It may also be just the speaker in the bell.

Could be the piezo (siren) . The negative cable going to it may have corroded Causing a poor connection .This would cause it to ring dimly . It would also ring dimly if the negative was grounded to something other than the connections .
What HKC Sabb is it ? The older type with the strobe and red LEDs or the newer type ?

If cable issues are a concern the best method is to take it down & wire on a short length into the panel or string a cable out a window up to it.
I'd be trying the more obvious things first though.

I was refering to the cable going from the bell PCB to the piezo . + & -

Yes , It could be the speaker or cable as well.
