Local GAA gym

My local GAA club has a gym open to members of the public (or at least the website doesn't say it's not, and they have signs up around the village selling it) which charges for 6 months what my current gym is charging for less than 2. The equipment looks pretty good, although limited, as are the hours. I just need somewhere to go when it's dark and cold (so from Aug-Mar basically), but any non GAA heads going their local GAA gym? What to expect from the clientele?

I guess I lose very little by trying it for 6 months, really, just wanted to see if there were any horror stories about, I don't know... people talking about hurling in the showers :pac:

never heard of a GAA club with a gym but considering how many GAA heads go to the gyms I've used I'd say you have encountered a few in your time

Very true. I guess when the gym is connected directly to the club, it's going to be a case of "everybody except me is in the club" and take on a different culture to a regular gym.

I signed up for the gym that was in one of rival clubs clubhouses. 80% of the time I went there, usually between 5-9pm, it was empty except a few auld wans running on the treadmills.
