    Hi

I'm starting out driving now, have been taking lessons etc. I bought my own car, a 1.3 litre Toyota Corolla. Basically I'll be going out on my own for insurance to build a no claims bonus, and the best quote I've gotten so far has been from 4thelads at €2200. Does anyone know if I'd have a chance of finding something more competitive elsewhere or is that the best I could probably do?

I've tried a lot of online quotes ranging from 2800-5000 euro.

    Thanks.

Take out the Golden Pages and ring every ins co and a good selection of brokers.

My daughter is also 20 and recently bought a Fiat Punto and insured it in her own name for €1600. Now it is only for third party/fire/theft, but the car is only worth a couple of hundred euro. This is who insure her....http://www.firstireland.ie/

    Thanks for the recommendation guys.

I have been in contact with a lot of local brokers, just waiting to here back. The best so far has come in from one at 2100.

I've tried the two recommendations above too, First Insurance will get back to me and quoteme.ie was at 4000.

    Thanks... :)

Make sure you are aware of the excess on those policies ;)
