Disposing of golf clubs

I've an old set of beginner golf clubs. They're probably 8 years old at this stage and well worn. Over the years I've bought a new driver, putter etc and last year both a new set of irons so the old beginner set is sitting in the shed.

What's the best way of getting rid of them? Can they be recycled in some way or is it just a dump them in the bin job?

I gave the 4,6,8, PW to a friend who got them cut down and regripped for a kid he knows, other than that the rest are gathering dust and cobwebs.

Stick them up on adverts as free to a good home. They will be gone in a second.

    Agreed with realgolfgeek
Give them to a charity or somewhere that specialises in beginners golf

+1 - put them on Adverts for free and someone will collect them straight from your house before you have a chance to unpack them from the shed.
