    Size 14, I'm guessing a woman.
That's a lovely thing you're doing btw op..

My wife went up to the oasis shop in Bainbridge, just north of Newry. It's an outlet shop and has some super smart casual dresses, perfect for your situation, and at knock down prices, uk vat too...

Helpful replies for the OP, please.

Would trousers be too casual? I was thinking something like wide leg linen trousers with a dressy top and flat or low heeled sandals? You can add handbag and jewelry to dress it up more.

Lol, believe it or not, there was a post above mine (now deleted) asking if the op was male or female.

    :-)

How about a black trouser suit? It's smart looking without being too dressy.

That sounds a bit heavy for a wedding, even if the OP is attending from a work perspective. She runs the risk of looking like one of the hotel's duty managers IMO.

+1 for Oasis, by the way. Love their dresses, and if you can make it to an outlet store better again. If you feel that's too dressy/impractical, maybe a pair of smart dark skinny jeans, with a pretty top and nice blazer and some statement accessories? By the sound of things I'm about the same size/height as you, and coming back to Oasis, their "Jade" style jeans are amazing.

    Enjoy the day!

Yeah actually, that hadn't occurred to me and you're right!
