    Hi

Im thinking of getting an S4 and thinking of buying from Amazon.co.uk, will that phone work here? Is there any other decent sites that you can recommend?

    Thanks

Get it from Amazon. At £450 it's a steal and they are great to deal with if something goes wrong.

It'll come sim-free & will work just fine here.

Iirc, Amazon email you something you print out (like a barcode) that you stick to the package you're returning to them.

All arranged by Amazon (courier etc)

Refund usually appears shortly afterwards, granted its been 5 years or so since I've returned something, but that's how I recall it.

    +1 for buying from Amazon.co.uk
I bought my S4 there a few weeks ago.

They are second to none for customer service. Any electronic returns in the past they sent me a new one immediately, and I had two weeks to send back the faulty item, with them covering the cost of postage.

Is the S4 worth the money? Im due an upgrade tomorrow, and the S3, HTC One and Sony Z are all priced €100 less than S4. Im unsure as to what to get. So would the S4 be worth the extra €100

Well a lot of people on here swear by the HTC One, and it does have a number of advantages over the S4. Better low light camera, front facing stereo speakers etc. I'd ignore the software differences as you can customise either to your liking, from the bootloader up. I'm afraid I don't know enough about the Sony to comment and the S3 is now a generation behind.

It depends on your usage really. I went for the S4 over the One because of it's expandable memory (I already had a 32gb class 10 card) and it's removable battery, as I plan on keeping it for many years to come and will swap it out for a new one after ~18-24mths. I'm also one of the few people on the planet who prefers plastic casing over metal. It may feel 'cheap' but it's incredibly light and surprisingly resiliant to scratches/damage.

Is it worth €100 more than the One? Probably not, but it's incredibly hard to resist that beautiful 5" amoled screen. ;)

I had the S3 for a couple of weeks and changed to the S4 as I was able to swap the S3 & €100 for it, to be honest I can't say that there's €100 worth of a difference that I can see between the 2 of them, but the screen on the S4 is amazing.

How did you change it? I have the S3 for about a year now.

What if its sold by someone else but fulfilled by Amazon?

    How did you manage that?

That only applies to sold by amazon items as far as I know.
I bought it from amazon a few weeks ago, seller seems to be a third party now.
The amazon warranty is worth extra IMHO.
