Wow, looks immense, any web cams I wonder?

I was looking for webcams earlier but no luck with anything live, there's been continuous thunderstorms in the Pyrenees all day and an intense storm over Brittany and the Channel earlier

Should be some massive storms over the next few days, CAPE and LI are literally off the charts in France!

    my god! Look out Belgium!

Its hard to even comprehend a thunderstorm that big, its half the size of Ireland at this stage! Hard to imagine being able to see the same thunderstorm from Galway, Cork and Dublin simultaneously

Another cell has exploded into life to the south of that one in the past couple of hours, headed straight for Stuttgart now if anyone's looking for webcams

Some big storms over Poland this morning, Estofex have a Level 2 Warning out for there and the Pyrenees

BBC is live at Heathrow at 8pm to 9pm every night this week, might get a chance to see some of those storms that move in from the continent as that was one of the things they were talking about last night and the effects on flights.

Estofex forecast for Poland and South-West of France looking pretty scary with mention of very large hail, extremely severe wind gusts and possible bow echoes. Also meteo.fr have highest level of alert (red) for rainfall for the Pyrenees region.

Some massive storms again today, that one over Poland is ridiculous, over 12 hours of continuous lightning and bigger than the island of Ireland at this stage

strolling around the internet looking for some webcams to watch the lightning from. No joy as of yet, still looking, but got a laugh when i finally found an elevated camera over looking a city.. and realised a local resident had effectively blocked the view...

Great webcam of the storm over Germany this evening, not exaggerating when I say that I've seen more flashes of lightning in 60 seconds watching that than in the past 10 years combined in this country!

Its almost like strobe lighting its that frequent, 27000 sferics picked up in Blitzortung in the past 2 hours!

Here's another one for good measure, Hamburg cam with live sound, the lightning is just approaching there now so if its anything like the Kiel one it should be fun

    Thats mental!!

I remember 1985. I was an 11 year old standing in the door of our shop with my dad and grandad looking south towards Bray head with forks of lightening hitting on and around Bray head every few seconds and Bray head being backlit by the lightening further south in Greystones and the rest of Wicklow pretty much permanently. A mad night altogether!

How's the thunderstorm looking now? I'm flying into Beauvais tomorrow and I'm hoping to see some of the action there. Any chance of that happening? The flight departs at 6:05 in the morning and arrives in Paris at 8:35 local.

:) Mental, reminds of the constant flashing of lightning that you used to see in the old black and white horror movies !!

Unlikely I think. The storms will be a lot further east along that cold front tomorrow - roughly Berlin / Eastern Germany and heading into Poland.

I've seen a few flashes on this Warsaw cam - but don't expect anything too exciting, a bit like an Irish thunderstorm, nothing like we've seen this week.
    Maybe later?
edit: don't bother, it seems to be fizzling out.

    Thunderstorm Time Lapse, Hamburg Germany

Net Zero means we are paying for the destruction of our economy and society in pursuit of an unachievable and pointless policy.
