As above, looking for a set of forks, ideally carbon but aluminium could do the trick. Lots of 1 1/8 out there but doesn't seem to be much in the way of 1".
Anyone got anything lying around taking up space?

Alternatively will consider any forks that have a frame (L) attached.

I was looking for something similar myself recently and had a tough time finding what I wanted. The best an LBS could do was get a pair of what sounded like "clunky" steel forks, for about 35euro if I recall correctly. Another source told me that it would be no problem to obtain a set only to tell me later that they couldn't find any amongst their suppliers. I found a few online of which this one was interesting. I ended up buying a second hand pair on here - they are Dedaccoa Black Force 2, perhaps another option to look for online as I think they are still available in 1".

Not much help to you there, probably, but maybe the link is of interest. I don't have links to the others I found online handy but I might be able to dig them out if that'd be useful.

How about this one from Ribble?

A bit risky though - its a carbon one and they say its chipped....

Thanks for that. I was looking at the Tifosi one on Wiggle. It's plan b if I can't find one locally.

I worry about stuff that isn't damaged. I'd go mad completely if I had that on the bike!

Same with me. In general I am totally scared of carbon stuff exploding under me on a 60+ descent. I always imagine myself as a meatball rolling down... 8-o

I am (not desperately) looking for a nice alu/cromo 1" fork, so this one just caught my eye and I thought somebody less paranoid than me may fancy it for this price.

not carbon, but if you're stuck, they are threaded but one has a long steerer so you could cut it down, also if you spend over £60 its free shipping.
