Can anyone recommend which camera is better for starting out taking holiday snaps, god view and movement etc? Is Nikon a good brand or would cannon be better? Thanks

i wouldn't recommend a DSLR if you're just looking for holiday snaps and the like. you'd probably find a decent compact would be better suited.
