Quad tyres

Have about 700 hours on the quad since I bought it. It had 4 new tyres on it. Now the rear tyres have about 20% wear and the front ones are bald. I presume that it's normal for the front ones to wear 5 times faster than the rear ones? All 4 are good year tyres and the quad is never in 4wd on the road.

Can anyone recommend a good place to source new front tyres? They are 25 x 8 - 12's. Cheapest price I'm getting for off road tyres is €80 with tyres with bearclaw style grips coming in at about €90. Have someone that will fit them if anyone can recommend a cheap place to source them - they have to be off road - wheelbarrow wheel style grips won't do!

Wear sounds about right. Our bike is 8 mts old 400 hrs and 2890 kms tyres 50% back 40 front. Cow road work.
I buy from local tyre guy for that price. If you can go the bit extra for Bearclaw worth the money and last 40%+ longer

reilig try these boys - they buy and sell bikes all over the place so could be down your way sometime. I bought a bike off them with a set of Maxxis tyres on them and they're wearing well and would be getting a right hard time on steep limestone lanes

    Wow that's pretty cheap!

I've no doubt that i could get another couple of hundred hours from the front tyres if I pushed them, but I'm using it for weed licking a lot these days and it's struggleing to pull the licker up some of the hills because of the worn thread - going down the steeper hills can be an experience too :D
