    Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.

So this thread is to put your golfing win in lights and receive all the acclaim it deserves. I think sometimes a win from a boardsie might be missed in the 'Score in last round' thread.

So any win you feel worthy from beating the father in law to the captains prize bang it here. I hope it get a lots of use!

    I'll start us off so

Starting to hit some form with a win last week in a singles event.

77 Gross of 11 gave me 42 points and the win. Only one birdie and a rake of pars.

Also had an interesting round yesterday, where I hit five birdies, 23 points on the front nine, and failed to seal the deal. Still happy with the 79. Would have been pretty nice to have won two singles events back to back :D

My goals this year was to break 80 and to get down to 9 so I'm happy with my progress thus far

    Hi,
Won a Open Singles in Strandhill in Sligo on the 29th of June. 37 Points off 11 was good enough on a tough day. First time playing the course as well.

Hey long time lurker here...off 20 at the start of the weekend.

Scored 38 pts in the saturday singles with 2 scratches on the card, 6 pars 2 bogies and an umentionable on the front 9 for 22 points.

back 9 started with a scratch and then 2 pars steadied the ship and 4 bogies and 2 doubles for 16 pts.

Good enough for the win and a cut to 19.1

July Medal yesterday and the good play continued with an 85 gross for a very competitive 66 - just found it was good enough to take the gold and golfnet has me cut again to 17.6.

Big adjustment losing 3 shots but moving in the right direction.

    Edit - was Hollystown BTW

Great score, but is it just me that finds when a low handicapper shoots 45 points every thinks it great but if you were off 22 Bandit would be the first thing that comes to mind.
Has happened to myself on a Captains day 2 high handicappers were leading every was calling them bandits I beat them off 9 but mime was a great score.

I popped in when I saw ajcurry had posted.

I was like "he hardly got in the winners circle" :pac:;)

This is also probably the only time I'll be posting in here! :D

I'm just surprised Ricky has not posted more in here:)

Maybe he's waiting for the 'If I Was Made Of Chocolate I'd Eat Myself' mega thread;)

Please also see How Did You Score Thread.
I'm on a roll(er coaster) so I might be posting in here soon enough.
That or putting the clubs on the Stuff for Sale thread...it's 50/50 but at the moment I've cracked this game (for the 12th time I think :o)

Might as well post/gloat in here since its been a long, long time since ive had anything to shout about.

Took some silverware home on the weekend, a nice claret jug replica from an outing with the jobs society. 35 points off 11 in Naas, played well, 83 strokes.

I felt my luck was in when i absolutely bladed a sand wedge, the ball was going a mile over the back of the green and out of bounds before it clipped an overhead electric cable on its way. Retook the shot and walked off with a 3 point par :-)

Nice break :) well done on the win, that's good shooting. Does that have to be a local rule or is it a rule of golf? Did you have to check?

Not sure, checked the card anyway and to my relief it was there in black and white.

I am here to gloat also... I finally won a medal, 77 strokes for nett 69. Qualified for the centenary medal final, got a big cut and an esr too. I'm only 0.1 away from the handicap target I set myself at the start of the year.
    So happy days!!
