    Hey,
Thinking of doing a road trip from London to Edinburgh this summer. Would give ourselves 3-4 days, and want to get recommendations on sights and things to do along the way, recommended routes, and/or sites that allow one to route plan?

    Thanks in advance.

Stratford upon Avon is popular, Shakespeare's birth place. The town of Ironbridge is lovely and well worth a visit. Then maybe somewhere in the lake district, on to Stirling to visit the castle and then Edinburgh?

Keep going though, while you're up there head to the highlands and see some stunning scenery. Maybe all the way to loch Ness and do some monster hunting!

Thanks for that. Have ye ever been to York or Durham? Can't decide between the two!!

Both are nice. I prefer York though.

The drive from York to Whitby is nice and you can visit the steam railway if that floats your boat. Stop at Goathland and have a pint in the Aidensfield arms (where Heartbeat was filmed), pop into Whitby to see where Dracula visited Yorkshire and then on to Durham. The only downside is you go through Middlesbrough which is a town built in the middle of a chemical factory!
