    Hey,

I recently bought an HTC Desire X on Vodafone.
I updated it to Jelly Bean out of the box and noticed that the volume through the earphones is very low. It's almost unusable for listening to music.

I'm just wondering whether this phone has a reputation for this particular bug? And whether there are any fixes or should I bring it back to the shop.

    Thanks

I've got one too. It's similar on mine. If I'm anywhere there is background noise (walking with cars going past, the gym, etc) it's useless. I've had to go back to my old iPod for the gym. I messed around with apps that are supposed to increase the volume but they don't make any difference.

I'd be interested too if anybody else had any success with any particular app.

I've tried my earphones in an S3 playing the same file as on the X and the difference is huge.

Doesn't seem a common problem. Maybe undo the update then try it again

How can you undo android updates? I've tried factory reset but it made no difference

So annoying, even my ancient Xperia X8 blows it out of the water! :-(

mine is also very bad, the only solution I've found is to use a third party music app like google play music :)

That's weird. I have the One V and I can't put the volume past 2 when using headphones or I'll be rendered deaf instantly! It goes up to 15!

Try installing Google Music, I used to have a HTC Wildfire and the stock Music app was dirt - as soon as I installed Google Music it sorted it out immediately...
