Samsung LCD TV problem.

Hey, recently (within the last week) my tele has been playing up. It takes ages to power on but is fine once it does. The little red led flashes all the while it's powering on.

I'm not sure what the model number is offhand. It's on a wall mount and the sticker at the back isn't easilly visible.

Has anyone had a similar experience, and do you know if it's an easy fix?

    Cheers in advance.

I contacted Samsung and they've put me in touch with a repair centre. They say it's more than likely a capacitor issue and it'll be fixed free of charge despite being long out of warranty, which was a nice surprise. They'll be out this evening or tomorrow!

Very good of Samsung to look after a customer like that. Fair play to them.

Yeah it's really decent of them. I know they're probably required to fix capacitor issues if they arise because of the lawsuit in the US, but my TV is over 4 years old so I wasn't expecting it to apply in my case. And the speed at which it's been dealt with is astonishing.

TV collected, repaired and returned since I started this thread!

I'll probably never be as happy with a customer service experience again :pac:
