Losing your Virginity, Is it that big a deal?

Is it really that big of a deal anymore? I mean are people still slagged if they'v not lost their virginitys at a certain age?

Looking at today where sex seems to be everywhere is it really that important to lose it to someone you care about or is it just lost it for the sake of it?

and who would losing their virginitys matter to most men or women? I reckon women would put a lot more thought and feelings into it but i'm guessing their now

As an adult looking back, I wish I hadn't been the stupid little ****e that I was as a teen, the one thing that really jumps out at me is I wish I hadn't been so concerned with what others thought!
I passed over a chance to loose my virginity to a really lovely girl because the lads were always taking the piss out of her, and I did lose it to an absolute bitch who I then had a very crappy relationship with (but the lads thought she was cool)
I should have ignored what others think!
I guess what I'm trying to say is don't do it unless it's with someone you really like, don't do it just because the situation presents itself and you feel pressured by mates (this "everyone else is doing it" sheep mentality is really a crock of ****)
Do it because you're sure it's what you want and that it's with someone you truly like and are comfortable with.

It's terrifying the first time but nothing beats the sense of elation you get than waking up next to someone you just shagged!

I certainly don't think it's that big deal except for you personally.

It has nothing to do with anyone else. To me having that side of relationships is a personal private thing and I really can't understand why society worries so much about it or makes out that it's the most important part of life.

It's different for everyone.

My friends and I were a bit obsessed with boys and sex at 15/16/17, like most girls! When my best friend lost her virginity, I didn't want to get left behind so had sex with someone the first opportunity I got. I do regret it, but I don't really dwell on it. If I could go back I'd do things differently. In fact if I could go back I would do a lot of things differently...going by all the people I do regret having sex with, I'd probably be a virgin until I was 25
