Writing my workouts out in the gym always pissed me off. So I set up a log here.

I'm all for tracking progress. I've logged a couple if hundred workout at this stage. What I don't understand is, how us a clipboard and paper any easier (or any different) than a notebook.
    An I missing something obvious?

I use apps on my phone for keeping track. Even before I used apps. I would right it into the notes/diary section of my phone.

    I hate carrying paper/notebooks

I use an app called Gym Chart. It's very basic but does exactly what I need. I used to write stuff down but this is so much more convenient.

I'd never go back to not tracking stuff, it seems like such an inefficient use of time and energy now that I look back to how I used to train. Same goes for tracking calories and macros,IMO it's essential for getting the absolute maximum out of your diet and training regime.

I probably haven`t found the right notebook.

I just find this way handy as it is set up perfectly for what I want to record. I`m a bit of a spreadsheet nerd though, sorry.

I make a spreadsheet for my programme.
    12 weeks or whatever.
Save it to Dropbox & access it on my phone in the gym then.
    Simples

I used to write what I was doing on my hand because I'd always have my hands with me, but I found it impractical during the summer, I'd lose half my workout through sweat. The next thing I tried was a sheet of plywood but I found it too hard to fold to fit in my pocket. For a long time I was really stumped for idea's for what to write my workout on untill I met a stenographer who was willing to come to the gym with me 4/5 times a week and take notes for me. I never looked back, and at €120 p/hr it's an absolute bargain.
If anybody is interested in getting their own stenographer , pm me and il send you the details.

People yapping on the phone annoys others. Lots of people use their phones for music, nothing wrong with taking it out of your pocket to have a quick look at your program or change a song.

Anyone that gets annoyed by someone taking out their phone in the gym has sweet fcuk all else to be doing. If they focused more on their own actual workout they wouldn't give a crap what anyone else was doing.
