    Hi all,

    This may have been posted before but I cant seem to come across the subject. I am considering importing a toyota hilux commercial vehicle from the UK, I am vat registed here in Ireland just wondering what way the VAT works.

    You send them/show them somthing official with your Vat no. on it and they deduct/don't charge you the Vat. You used to be able to just tell them the Vat No. and that would suffice but it's changed now in most places as too many lads were "dreaming up" Vat numbers...
