    hi guys
Im looking to buy some in-ear headphones with a mic and a remote so when exercising I can listen to music on the phone, and then take a call and switch back to music after the call has ended, using the remote, Im also looking to be able to change volume level using the remote.
I am keen on the Bose Bose® SIE2 sport headphones. I alraedy own Bose inear headphones and I like them.
However from reading their website I am very unsure if these phones are fully compatible with my phone. My phone is not an iphone, its an Android (Galaxy Nexus).
    The Bose website says:

"Can I use my smartphone with Bose® SIE2 sport headphones?

Yes. SIE2 sport headphones are ideal for use with all phones that can store or access music and have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. If you have an iPhone, you'll get a more complete experience with SIE2i headphones, designed exclusively for Apple devices. They include an inline remote and microphone for taking calls, talking hands-free, controlling volume and managing tunes within a playlist."

To me, this implies that an Android phone does NOT offer a full experience, so that some of the functionality that an iphone has might not apply to an an Android phone, eg the basic functions might work with an Android but not all the functions.

I am only going to buy this headphone if it offers full functionality for my android phone. If it offers only the basic functions I am not going to buy.

Any idea if this headphone is fully compatible with an Android?

I checked up with Bose directly and they (unfortunately) confirmed my suspicions, these headphones are not fully compatible with an android phone, so the ability to forward/reverse track, change volume etc will NOT work on an android phone.
