Its not the spring, so there is obviously something expanding with higher temps enough to rub against some other component.…

Works fine when temp drops...which is ok for Ireland I guess, but the young lad will be racing the bike in warmer climes in a few weeks and I want to have it sorted before that. I have stripped the thing as much as possible to see what it could be, but apart from drowning all accessible moving parts in grease I have drawn a blank and the problem persists. Anyone come across this before or have any idea what could be causing it.
