I've been looking on Amazon and some sellers won't ship to Ireland etc.
    I've noticed this place:
    http://www.orientuhren.de/

Their prices seem very competitive for the watch I'm looking for, Mako (CEM75001).

Has anyone used them before? Just wondering what they are like to deal with.

Will they ship to UK? If so, then www.parcelmotel.com is yer only man! (Watch the 'How it works' video)

Simple to use, reliable, fast and the first 2 deliveries are free. After two deliveries, it's €3.50 for a standard delivery.

Used them 5 times in the last month and the service is *****

ya also used Parcel Motel twice last month...nearest drop off is 5 min walk from my house. Will use them again for the Mako. Excellent service

Cant comment on orientuhren as a supplier

A former customer here as well. They weren't the friendliest in emails but had no cause for complaint with their services.

I don't understand why they don't include the box as standard.

but won't I more than likely be stung for customs (and rightly so) on watches from Creation making the watch more expensive than the two German sites mentioned above?

I assume there's a chance that you will - not sure what the threshold is in terms of value - I wasn't stung when i bought from Creation, and I haven't read anyone that has - obviously if it's a concern go for ze Germans!

Not sure what Creations stock is for the Mako series, but they dont stock the particular watch I was looking at, where the other german sites do

I've heard good reviews about Creation though

yeah, I was specifically looking for the CEM65001B which Creation doesn't currently have in stock. Ah I can wait a while, no rush. Who knows, come next week I may changed my mind for something else:D The Seiko Lord looks nice.

I bought from creation last week, the watch cost 86 euro and DHL charged me 11 euro for custom fees / admin etc.

That's not bad so, about what you'd normally pay as a shipping fee anyhow (given shipping is free on Creation, at least for the moment).

    I've used www.seriouswatches.com

Found them excellent; very good to deal with. They are very friendly and helpful over email.

First time I dealt with them, I was looking for an Orient which was discontinued and they couldn't source, but they took the time to explain the numbering system of Orient models, alternative suppliers who might have it etc.

Second time, I ordered a Blue Ray from them on a steel bracelet. It got lost in the post and they resent it with no quibbles and threw in a rubber bracelet for free for the trouble.

No need to worry about duty either; they're based in the Netherlands. Next time I buy an Orient I'll definitely go back to them.

This is it on their site. Shipping is free and no question of duty or vat arising.

thanks churchview, I came across their website before but wasn't sure about it. Great to hear you've had good dealings with them.
God, I wish my employer would hurry up and pay me ;)

Ordered from CreationWatches myself there last week and the watch arrived today with a 11 euro surcharge too, so that seems to be a standard amount to factor into the price (to be safe).
