Just back from lamping there and was a bit confused as to what i saw
In the last field I walked I shined the lamp and was hit with two sets of eyes
The furthest set of eyes were a gold/ yellow set so i said its a fox and about 15 - 20 yards in front was another set of eyes but these were green.
Now I was thinkin straight away that's a cat.
Was this fox stalking the cat?
Or could the green eyes of been something else?
    Cheers

I'm not 100% on this ( I never fire at just a set of eyes by the way ) but from the little bit I know about it the eyes of a young fox don't necessarily reflect orange/yellow under white light but can reflect blueish/green since they aren't fully developped yet.

So would ya say it was vixen and a cub?

I'm pretty sure your right on that since fox cubs eyes are blue but turn brown when they reach adulthood.

Sounds like a badger. On a few of the permissions there are well used trails with all sorts of tracks on them from pheasant, fox and badger. Your may have stumbled over mother natures M50...

Could well have been the case, vixen and fairly well grown cub but to young to be sent on it's way....
