After a doing the Wicklow 200 last weekend, have decided to keep going and do the Ring of Kerry cycle on July 6th. Having booked my entry then proceeded to call about 20 B&B's - all of them are booked out. Then called the local tourist office in Killarney and I was told that the town is "full".
Does anyone have any good ideas for accommodation? Am going to bring the wife and 2 kids down too - at the moment we're booked into a campsite so the tent is getting aired out. :)

Have you tried some of the towns outside killarney? Tralee is less than a 30 minute drive from killarney and has loads to keep the family entertained. You could then get the bus/train from tralee out to killarney early in the morning if the family need the car for the day. Also have a look at places such as kenmare, killorglin, castleisland as they are all within a 30 minute drive of killarney.
    Best of luck! :)

Your best bet is a cancellation, most places were booked out months ago. The munster final is also on in Killarney that weekend and add to that weddings and random tourists, best of luck anyway.

Maybe a bit of an incentive to visit Killorglin over the weekend:D

I got booked into a four bed family room in a hostel yesterday morning in Killarney.

Maybe look at holiday home rentals, still some around for 400-500 euro for a week, do some searching around.
