hi, i bought a car dashcam in sept 2012 from an ebay seller that i think is based in enniscorthy, it was working great till about a month ago, i have tried to contact the seller through ebay but so far he has not answered my emails, i also noticed today that he has blocked me from his newsletter listing and there is a message there saying i cant bid on items on his ebay shop, yet he gave me 100% feedback at time of purchase, of course im kinda confused, all i wanted was to send it back to him to have a look at or replace, as it is still under manufacturer warranty is there anything i can do ,or do i just have to put it down to experience,
    thank you for your time

If he is a business seller his phone number and address should be on the bottom left of the auction page

Also check the payment details on Paypal , and you may find an email address / contact phone number for seller.

Did the seller offer warranty for the item on the sales page? If not and it still under the manufacturers warranty then that is who you should deal with.

PayPal deals with all refunds and seller complaints for Ebay as they are the same company. You have 43 days to send back an item if it is deemed faulty as per eBay and PayPal guidelines. Unfortunately you can no longer return this item as the refund period has run out. If you have a problem within the 43 day period you can file a case through PayPal and the seller will be required to follow PayPals procedure for a refund. Other than that there really is no such thing as a warrenty when purchasing something through eBay unless you are dealing with a business who state this in their small print.

Its not usual to go to the manufacturer with a warranty, a customer can go to the seller, assuming its a business selling new items.

The transaction took place in Sept 2012
