    Well well what you think?

The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom has full telephony features (unlike the Camera), but it's not the most comfortable phone around. Photography is the full-time job here.
A 10x zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) sits in front of a 16MP sensor. At the wide end, the lens is the very wide 24mm in 35mm equivalent, the aperture goes from f/3.1 to f/6.3 and there's a mechanical shutter. The Galaxy S4 zoom has a control ring around the lens like some high-end point-and-shoots do, a xenon flash and LED light.
That's just the camera specs, the rest is a full-featured Galaxy S4 mini hardware, including the IR blaster, which can control a projector (the one, most likely, you'd use to show off your photos).

I think it is only released to compete with Nokia's offerings in the area.

I'd rather a Nokia than a Samsung, just personal preference.

I don't think Samsung do software very well.

I am still chuckling away to myself at how ridiculous that phone is - it's woeful. If you're going to sacrifice adding on lots of weight and thickness, then the very least you'd expect is class leading photos. From what I have seen, I wouldn't even have the Zoom in the top 5 of camera phones, it's not even the best Samsung for photography.

    1. Nokia Pureview 808 - still the undisputed king of camera phones.
    2. Samsung Galaxy S4 - the clear second best camera phone on the market right now.
    3. Nokia N8 - ancient, but is still better than newer rivals like the HTC One, Lumia 920 and Xperia Z.

If you want a proper camera phone, then wait and see what Sony have got lined up with the Honami (it may very well be game changing) or wait for the Nokia Eos if Windows Phone is your fancy.
