    Hi guys,

weird situation at the moment, my wife is getting eflow bills for a car we used to own that was written off in May 2010. This car was caught going through the m50 toll on 2 occasions in early May of this year.

When the car was crashed 3 years ago the insurance company told us it was a write off and paid us an amount 1,500euro less that market value for it. We had wanted it repaired but were told it wasnt possible.

Is this a common occurrence? The car is still registered to my wife.

    any help appreciated!!

Contact the insurance company. When they paid your wide for it they should have taken ownership of it.

That's odd if they didn't get you to send off the logbook you should have gotten a certificate of destruction/end of life

ring up eflow had the same problem the girl on the phone took up picture of car and it didnt match car at all, think they chance their arm sending out unpaid bills, you may still need to contact vehicle registration office and they will send you out a form to fill in and get signed by commissioner of oaths, dont get too worried about it, but insurance should of handled it all, when it happened me it wasnt thru insurance so was my fault, think its common enough

we contacted eflow and they are sending out the pics and we contacted a friend in the tax office who said its a very common thing. Second one this week she has dealt with.
    I'll keep ye posted!

eFlow do that the whole time, as do the Gardaí, I got a speeding fine in the post one day with a picture of a number plate that was clearly on the back of a bus and not my Avensis. They had gotten the year of the reg wrong because the photo was a wee bit fuzzy.

It might even be someone chancing dodging the toll with fake plates?

you need to contact eflow .they have done it for me in the past. you need to put the journey on hold .. i got a Last valid ownership form from the tax office and got it signed by my solictor proving i didnt own the car since date x and sent it to the dep of transport.my name was never taken off the log book when it was taken off the road and thats why your getting letters too.. once i sent in the info to dep of transport eflow stopped sending me letters because i wasnt the registered owner of the vehicle anymore and they canceled the previous charge once i proved i didnt have the car with the form,,thank god.
