    Ahoy boardsies!

My friends 10reg golf has had a flashing glow plug light on and off the last 2 days. I scanned it and it gave us a pending code of P2453 "dpf differential pressure sensor circuit range / performance"

Anyone come across this one before???

I should add there has been no limp mode or engine management light so far, and the few times it has happened was when the car had been idle for 6+ hours.

The glow plug light doubles as the mil. Dpf (diesel particulate filter) pressure sensor may have become faulty or possible electrical circuit fault. A decent garage will be able to make an accurate diagnosis and repair.

Don't leave it for too long or it may complicate the problem.

Lot's of info on this forum and elsewhere online about this system and the associated potential problems.
