Played here today for the first time , which is surprising considering how close it is to me , any way , I was very impressed with the course and club house .
I've been clubless for a few years now , and was considering joining somewhere in the Dublin area .
If there is any members on here that could answer a few questions for me I'd be very thankful :D
    1 : have they a large membership
2 : is it easy enough to get out at the weekend
3 : what times are competitions on at weekend
4 : is there a good , friendly atmosphere in the club house
That's about it for now , thanks .

    Between 7 and 900 I think

You'll need to be on the ball when the timesheet goes live if you want a specific time in a competition at the weekend.
If your flexible there's no problem getting out....

The spare 9 is there also if your lookin for a quick knock about when the comps are on.

Weekend comps are 8 am to 3.30pm
Monday opens and Wednesday semi opens (fourball every 2nd week)

Nice bunch of lads and always a good vibe in the clubhouse.

Anything else you need just shout.

Played first round Metro there in the away team. They were great hosts, extremely friendly and good craic at the afters meal. Facilities are excellent and the course itself, have to say I liked it. Couldn't fault it much at all.

PLaying partner I was with was a lovely fella aswell. It's days like that, that give you a good impression of the golf club in general. Have to say I was mighty impressed and would have no qualms going back.

Your spoilt for choice though for golf clubs around that area in a 20-30 minute driving radius.

Yeah , I've played just about every course around Dublin on multiple times , was a member in castle knock and roganstown a couple of years ago .
Coorstown just has that x-factor I've been looking for , there is a lovely flow to the course , plenty of variety of holes, you have to think about your shots , it's not just a blasters course , and it has 3 nines :-) and its literally 15 mins away from my home
Can't believe I never played it till yesterday

I'm a member for 12 years and I honestly find it hard to believe there is a better value club in North Dublin. In all my years been a member I've never being fed up with the course.

It's a shareholder club so it as 1100 memberships available but only about 300-400 members actively playing each week.

At the moment membership numbers are holding at 750.

Comps on Wednesday, Friday night, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.

Sheet fills up quick but you always get a spot. I always get the same times on a Saturday and Sunday, if you want to play with the same members just get one member to book it. Time sheet is always online an easy access.

Bar and food fine but like most clubs people don't hang around long due to drink driving laws.

Very friendly club and my main reason an most other members for not leaving.

Club holding Pierse Lenister finals this month and very active in inter-club golf.

Financially club needs more members and more money like all clubs but the current members are working hard to keep things going. Club as debt but this is manageable once income keeps at current levels. Each year they try to keep improving the club course with more trees or new tee-boxes. A extra 100 members would make a big difference to current budgets an this is the clubs main target for increasing revenue.

Just checked this sweetness, And the accoc memeber cannot play full 18 on weekends. Can only play the ''spare'' nine.

It needs to be double checked with club..

    You out Sunday ?

    That's correct.

You play any course Monday to Friday but only the spare 9 on comp day on Saturday and Sunday. As a assoc member you can't play the comp at the weekend. I think that's great value for 900 if you play most of your golf mid week. The only advantage full members get is the comps on sat/sun for full membership fees. I don't play much mid week so it doesn't suit me.

By the way you can play the spare 9 twice and get your full 18 in on the day.

Did either of you join yet?

We are playing this afternoon, I know a member so want to chat to him first, seems they get something if they get someone to join up.
