If i was paying that kind of ball park figure for a bike I'd be buying the Giant Defy. Think you might get the Defy 2 for that kind of money, maybe a little extra. Bulletproof award winning bike and for me by far and away the best bike for what you want.

Test ride them all if you can and whatever you like best, go for it.

The 3rd one (Focus Mares) looks like a cyclo-crossbike -not a designated road bike.

Regarding the other two, I'd go for the Felt as it seems to have better spec.

Are you planning to leave the bike locked in Heuston ie as part of a commute including the train?
if so new and shiny may not be the way to go.
I managed it for years with the same dawes that rode much better than it looked.

    In Sallins myself.
I have a Trek 7.5 FX hybrid that I've fitted drop bars which I use for commuting you're welcome to a spin on that if you're around 5' 10" .

I could recommend Flemings in Naas or Bikeolgy in Monread for a bike purchase. Huge stock collection in Flemings and good value, but they're very busy when it comes to servicing, could be a two week turnaround.

Nigel in Bikeolgy on the other holds less bike stock, but offers a prompt turnaround on servicing and will get in anything you need within two days.

I guess one is old school Local Bike Shop and the other is new school.
