OK so for the past six months I have had a big crush on this amazing girl. I've know from the way she is with me that she doesn't feel the same and I'm trying to let her go yet no matter what I do she pops into my head a lot like some sort of spell has been cast on me.

Anyway I've been doing work experience for college and there's this girl there who asked me out today. She's a great looking girl who's really nice and very friendly but I declined the date by making up an excuse that I don't date people I work with because things can get complicated. Even though it was because she wasn't like the girl I've a crush on. What the hell is a wrong with me. I know the only way to really let someone go is to move on and when an opportunity arose to do that I made up excuses.

Is this a normal thing for people to do or am I in another class altogether. Also would it be too late to take this woman up on her offer? She seemed pretty mad when I declined but I can't blame her for that as it's not up to woman to ask for dates

I feel your pain man. I have had a crush on a unattainable man for four years. It's like I have blinders on all the time and alli really ever fantasise about is him. I have to force myself to move on as I know it can never happen.

If I were you I would do the same. Especially if you know your crush does not feel the same. Ask the other girl out and explain that you were just surprised and needed time to think about it. Good luck!
