I've never heard of a 'gluten free' restaurant even though several members of my family are coeliacs. Surely you just go into the restaurant and tell the waiter that you want gluten-free food in which case he or she will identify which courses you have to avoid or in some cases the food can be adapted for a coeliac.

what I meant was a restaurant that caters for coeliacs, its not as simple as that. I dont mean to go into a restaurant and have a dinner with no gravy, thats not catering for coeliacs, therefore a restaurant that serves gluten free food, ie gluten free pasta, pizza, bread etc.

jeez its only a simple question.

Cross contamination is a huge issue in regular restaurants anywhere catering for coeliacs will have guidelines in place ensuring no cross contamination.
