    Hi,
    I have posted last week looking for musicians for a RHCP tribute. I have got a bit of feed back but as yet "NO" Bass Players have got back to me,

    Its a big ask trying to find someone that can play Flea's Bass lines but i'll give it another go.

    as a bassplayer, personally I wouldnt say its "a big ask trying to find someone that can play Flea's Bass lines" moreso than "Its a big ask trying to find someone that WOULD WANT to play Flea's Bass lines". Or maybe thats just me. Good luck in finding someone - they have to be out there.

    Im 35, the others that have contacted me (from boards & gumtree)
    haven't disclosed their age, chances are they are a bit younger.

    I got into the chillis when they were touring "blood sugar sex magic". Its that era i would be way more into. As tribute band doing gigs, we'd probably end up doing some songs off the newer albums as well. Personally i didn't like the last 2 albums but there are some songs off them i thought were just.

    There are songs off one hot minute id like to do as well as californication and by the way.
    Basically id like to do theit greatest hits but then an emphasis on their earlier material

    Hey there, I'm a bass player, been playing 13 years and am a massive fan of the Peppers. I'm quite tall though so I don't know if that would ruin the whole Flea image, but I am very passionate about all their music!!!!!!!!! What's the long term plan for the band??!!

    Hey man, height isn't an issue :) Initially i just want to get everyone in to jam and see if it sounds good. Im starting from scratch and all the other members (The Singer, The Drummer & The Bass) are all people that have responded to my ad on gumtree and boards and therefore i have never heard them play or met them. If i find the right people im hoping we can play pubs, Venues festivals, colleges and make some money off it. I am doing it for the love of the music moreso, otherwise id just do a general covers band.


    I have played in originals bands for 20 years and i want to try something different. If you're still interested plaease PM me.
